Background

Background

The key objective of Fitche Public health Laboratory was providing quality laboratory services to safeguard the well-being and health of our community/Catchment population. By providing high-quality laboratory services, we aim to contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare outcomes and enhance the people of our Catchment. Additionally we perform different activities to attain our catchment health facility to deliver quality, accurate and reliable laboratory results. Each member of our laboratory staff plays an integral role in ensuring accurate diagnoses, promoting patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. It is their unwavering commitment and passion that have led us to good achievement
FPHRRLC Fitche Public Health Research and Referral Laboratory Found in Oromia Regional State, North Shewa Zone Fitche Town, near Selale University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, 114 KM away from Capital city, Finfinne in Northern Direction.
The center started its routine work since February 2015 E.C. by collaborating with EPHI, OHB, APHRRL and NPHRRL. There is only 18 staff since 2015 E.C (6 Laboratory Professional and 12 Administration Staff) for supporting North Shewa Zone, Sendafa and Sheno Town.
In 2017 FPHRRLC will serve for Sheggar City, North Shewa zone, three Town administrations (Sheno, Sendafa and Holota Town) and other bordering community that accounts more than 3.5 million populations under the catchment.
There was 11 Hospitals, (9 Government and Two Private) 107 Heath Centers, (From which more than 100 Health Center was diagnostic), more than 300 medium clinics, 50 specialty clinics and 155 Primary clinics under FPHRRLC catchment area.
A total of 35 ART sites, 23 GeneXpert, 7 EQA Center, 6 EID facilities were serving the community under FPHRRL Catchment Total health work forces in our catchment area were approximately more than 10,000. Total staffs of FPHRRLC were 24 of which 7 are Laboratory professionals.
